fORTRESS OF SOLITUDE

I began formally meditating when I was twelve. Before that I spent hour upon hour listening to music. Getting lost in dreaming and bringing the power of my imagination into my 'regular life'. I cannot think of a time in my life from then on when I didn't have some kind of daily, meditative practice.  Along with this practice of present awareness, I always had a sense of play.  A sense that life was about creative adventures, connection with each other, and ourselves. 

early dAYS AND baCKSTAGE

I began teaching meditation to my tenth grade Tai Chi class.  Early years in the theater further developed my sense of 'being in the moment', responding to this moment of 'now', always fresh, always without mental modification. Even when I began working as a scenic, as a systems designer, project manager and business coach, I always returned to solutions by bringing forth mindfulness and present awareness. 

the seeker

My travels to India, Egypt, Peru and the sacred lands of the United States and Mexico deepened my experience of mysticism and anchored my belief that we are all somehow connected in a timeless and limitless way.  Accessing that awareness has been extremely liberating, creating a fluidity that allows for the truth to reveal itself. Some of my most rewarding experiences in teaching meditiaon have come in teaching children and their parents to meditate together.  I try to bring this life's work to every connection and endavor that I crate. 

dEVOTION

Sacred time, rhythms, routines and practicing present awareness. These are the touchstones I use to find and maintain my balance in these fast moving times. I allow meditation to be at the center of my practice as a coach and I invite my clients to use the practice of mindfulness to help shed light on their experiences and their choices.
